1. On the Upwork login page, choose the Forgot password? link when prompted for your password.
2. Enter your Upwork username or the email you use for your Upwork account.
We’ll send you an email with the next steps. We may ask you to verify your identity with two-step verification first. (If the email doesn’t arrive promptly after we send it, check your spam folder.)
If we ask you to verify using your security answer and you don’t remember it, choose Try another method if you’ve already enabled multiple two-step verification methods. If not, select Forgot your answer?

There may be other times when we ask you to verify your identity by providing your security answer, such as at login, in settings, or when you access payments. If you don’t remember it, you can follow these steps to get help:
- When you are asked to answer your security answer, choose the Forgot your answer? link on the security question form.
